Artist Statement
When looking at a work of art, a person subconsciously seeks to reach the same emotional state as the artist was in when creating the painting. The viewer notices the concentration of brush strokes, relaxation, and color scheme. I try to paint when I want to create, when I want to meditate, surprise, live, evolve, share and create harmony. Making a work of art is a rewarding journey with its many bends and surprises. At the end of the rewarding journey itself, the end result is a finished work of art. A work that reminds me and the viewer of that journey. That journey cannot be described in words. It must be seen and experienced.
